How to make Sunrays Count and Match Cards?

It is very easy to make these cards. Download the free printable available at the end of this post and print it on cardstock. Cut out the pieces. You will get a total of  20 Cards.

How to use the Count and Match cards?

Spread the cards: Lay out all the number cards face up.

Let the Matching Begin: Ask your child to find the matching sunshine card for each number card. For example, if a number card shows the number “3,” they would need to find the card with 3 sunrays.

Counting the Rays: As your child matches the cards, have them count the sunrays on each card out loud. This reinforces number recognition and counting skills.

Beyond Matching:

Memory Match: Turn the cards face down and play a memory game! Take turns flipping over two cards at a time, trying to find matching pairs.

Sunshine Sequencing: Once your child has mastered matching, shuffle the number cards and have them put the cards in numerical order (1 to 10).
