Rainbow Ten Frame Matching Game

Recently, We started playing a bunch of Hands-on Math Games to practice Numbers 1 to 20. And 10 Frame counting is our current favourite!

In general,  10 frames are used to practice till 10.  But here I have made two 10-frame Blocks so that we can Practice Numbers 1 to 20. This is a Free printable and can be downloaded at the end of the post.

Preparation?

It is very easy to set up! Print all the pages and cut the cards out. (There are 40 cards). The easy way to cut them is by Using a Paper Trimmer as in the Picture Below.

I highly recommend a paper trimmer if you do a lot of Hands-on activities like this. Makes your cutting job much easier!

For Multiple usages, You need to laminate the cards or print them on Cardstock.

How to Play the Rainbow Ten Frame Matching Game?

Pretty Simple!  The goal is to match all the 10 frames with the Numbers and complete the Rainbow. Kids count the Dots on 10 Frame, Identify the Number and Match them up.

I placed the Number cards all around the living room and gave the 10 Frame cards to my daughter to find and match the cards. It is so much fun that she didn’t even realize that she was learning.

If your child is just starting, Start with 10 or 20 cards, then add more cards rather than overwhelming the child with 40 cards.
