Pasta Names and shapes for kids
In the printable, I’ve chosen the 10 most popular and easily distinguishable pastas for kids. It helps children learn both the shapes and names of these varieties. Here’s a list of the pasta included:
- Penne
- Spaghetti
- Farfalle (Bowtie)
- Fusili
- Ravioli
- Gomiti Rigati
- Ruote (Wagon wheel)
- Conchiglle (Sea Shells)
- Gnocci
- Lasnga
How to use the Pasta Magnifying Glass Matching Game:
1. Print the cards on sturdy cardstock and carefully cut them out.
2. Lay the cards flat on a surface along with a magnifying glass.
3. Encourage children to use the magnifying glass to closely inspect the Pastas on the small cards and uncover matching pairs.
4. For younger players, start with a smaller set of cards, such as 6 or 8.
Remember to opt for high-quality printing when preparing the cards, as the smaller pasta designs may blur, making it challenging for kids to discern them under the magnifying glass.
Interested in adapting this activity for toddlers? Simply print the larger cards twice, allowing them to match the pictures easily.
