There are many reasons to love this simple Paper plate Santa craft. For one, it’s very inexpensive – all you need is a paper plate and some basic craft supplies. Plus, it’s a great activity for both kids and adults, making it the perfect way to spend an afternoon with family or friends.
And best of all, it’s a great way to show your holiday spirit – after all, nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a homemade Santa Claus!

Supplies you will need to make Paper Plate Santa
- 9″ Paper plates
- Crayola Washable paint
- Paper plate Santa Template
- Scissor and Glue

Directions to Make a Paper Plate Santa Craft
The first step is to cut away 1/4th of the 9″ plate. See the picture below to get better clarity.
Now paint the centre of the Plate with skin colour. This is the face of Santa. The surrounding white part is the beard of Santa. Leave the plate to dry for a while.
Download the free template at the end of the Post and print it on a thick sheet – Cardstock. Paint the Hat and lips Red. Paint the nose Beige colour. Now leave these sheets to dry.
Cut the pieces out!
First, Stick the eyes and Mouth on the Paper Plate.
Add the moustache and Nose.
Finally, stick the 3 parts of the cap together and stick it on the paper plate. Santa Claus is here! Ho ho Ho!
