All you need to do is add those adorable big eyes and colourful feathers to your child’s handprint to make this cute owl craft.

Things you will need to make this Handprint Owl Craft

- Owl Template (Download at the end of the post)
- Card stock paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Feathers

Directions to make this Handprint Owl Craft
Trace your child’s hand on any colour of paper you like and cut it out. Try to match the paper colour with the feathers you have on hand.
Feathers are commonly available in blue, pink, purple, and yellow, and we’ve used these colours for our owls.
Download the Owl Template at the end of this post and print it out.
Cut out the pieces as shown in the template.
Use the eyes from the template, and for the beak, cut a small piece of orange or yellow paper. For the ears, choose a colour that matches the handprint.
Next, glue the eyes onto the handprint.
Stick the ears on either side at the top.
Finally, attach the beak in the centre after folding it in half. This gives a 3D effect of the owl’s beak.
Apply some glue and stick two feathers on the “fingers” at either end. If the feathers are too long, trim the tops to fit.
Your owl is ready!
Feel free to make them in as many colours as you like and display them proudly. This is such an easy craft for kids and a perfect classroom project.
