Here’s what you’ll need for this Accordion Fold Rainbow Craft

Directions to make the Accordion Fold Rainbow Craft

Download the template provided at the end of this post and cut the paper in half along the centre line. You’ll end up with two identical pieces, as shown in the images below.

You’ll need two pieces to make each rainbow.

Begin folding the rainbow in an accordion-style fashion, using the reference lines on either side to maintain uniform folds (approximately 1cm apart).

Continue folding until you reach the other end.

Trim off any excess paper on either side of the rainbow where the reference lines are located.

Repeat the process with the second half of the paper.

Now, you have two pieces of rainbow bow craft. Attach them to create a single long accordion fold, using glue for this step.

Next, expand the upper side and bring the folds together on the downside to create a fan-like shape.

Once the folds are together, staple the inner ends, as shown in the picture below.

Optionally, you can attach a popsicle stick to the bottom to allow them to stand upright.

Use these colourful creations to decorate walls or tape them upright on tables. They make fantastic decorations for rainbow or unicorn-themed parties!
